Palermo

PALERMO

Sicily’s capital, Palermo, offers a lot to discover. The historic center is full of many gems and pleasant to visit on foot. Along the cobweb of streets that extend into the center, you pass from the colorful and noisy markets to the jewels of Arab-Norman or Art Nouveau architecture, one next to the other. The nearby beach of Mondello is perfect for a relaxing walk in the company of an artisan ice cream.

Catania

CATANIA

Catania is rich in culture and art. The Cathedral and the famous elephant fountain dominate the large square in the historical center. The cute animal, a symbol of the city, arouses admiration and affection from the inhabitants. The fish market is a must-see, the beating heart of the city.

Syracuse

SYRACUSE

Birthplace of Archimedes and home of Pythagoras and Plato, Syracuse was one of the most influential cities in the Mediterranean. Ortigia, the historic center of the city, is a strip of land joined to the rest of the city by two bridges. Its charming medieval streets will take you to the central square where the majestic Duomo dominates the scene.

Messina

MESSINA

The city has always been the primary connection between the island connects to the continent. A 60-meter tower flanks its beautiful medieval-style Cathedral with the most oversized astronomical clock in the world. Every day at noon, the statues of the building begin to move.

CALTANISSETTA AND ENNA

Caltanissetta is located in the heart of Sicily, between wonderful golden hills. The territory is known for its excellent food and wine products, including wheat, nougat, and wine.

 

Situated on a mountain, Enna is the highest provincial capital in Italy. The city is known for its religious celebrations and Easter processions.
 

 

TRAPANI

The pretty coastal town is located on the west side of the island. Near Trapani, it is possible to admire the spectacular salt pans from which the sea salt, rich in iodine, with excellent beneficial properties, is extracted.

Ragusa

RAGUSA

Ragusa is a pretty baroque town in the Val di Noto area. Ibla is the historical center of the city, which fascinates thanks to its Baroque architecture. The Cathedral of San Giorgio is an example of splendor and beauty.

Agrigento

AGRIGENTO

The city is located on the southern coast of the island. The most important places to visit are the Valley of the Temples and the rocky hill where the medieval citadel was founded.
