MOUNT ETNA
Mount Etna, located on Sicily’s eastern coast, is Europe’s largest and most active volcano—and one of the island’s most iconic natural wonders.
Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Etna Park offers dramatic landscapes shaped by ancient lava flows, lush forests, and panoramic craters.
Whether you're looking for a scenic cable car ride, a guided trekking tour, or wine tasting on volcanic soil, Etna is a must-see destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
At Majolica Travel, we design custom Etna experiences with private drivers, expert guides, and curated stops to match your pace and preferences.

NEBRODI MOUNTAINS
The Nebrodi Mountains form one of Sicily’s largest natural parks, known for their lush forests, panoramic trails, and peaceful lakes.
Often called the “green lungs” of Sicily, the area is perfect for hiking, birdwatching, and nature photography. At the heart of the park lies Lake Biviere di Cesarò, a haven for migratory birds and one of the most scenic spots in the region.
With centuries of Arab influence and a strong rural identity, the Nebrodi offer an authentic and unspoiled side of Sicily.

MADONIE MOUNTAINS
The Madonie Mountains, located in northern Sicily, are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
Winding through charming villages and ancient forests, the Madonie trails are ideal for hiking, biking, and even motorcycle touring. This rugged area is also home to some of Sicily’s highest peaks, as well as the legendary Targa Florio route—one of the world’s oldest car races.
Whether you're chasing adrenaline or peace and quiet, the Madonie offer a unique natural escape.

ZINGARO RESERVE
The Zingaro Nature Reserve, Sicily’s first protected park, stretches for 7 km along the unspoiled Tyrrhenian coastline between Scopello and San Vito Lo Capo.
Home to over 650 plant species and numerous rare birds, Zingaro is a paradise for hikers, snorkelers, and nature lovers.
Its coastal trails lead to hidden coves with crystal-clear waters, ideal for a swim after a scenic walk.

VENDICARI
Located in southeastern Sicily, the Vendicari Nature Reserve is a pristine coastal oasis famous for its tranquil beaches, Mediterranean vegetation, and migrating birdlife.
Between lagoons, sand dunes, and archaeological ruins, Vendicari is a peaceful escape for walkers, photographers, and birdwatchers.
Each year, it welcomes flamingos, storks, and other species journeying between Africa and Europe.

ALCANTARA GORGES
The Alcantara Gorges, located between Mount Etna and Sicily’s eastern coast, are one of the island’s most impressive natural wonders.
Carved over thousands of years by the Alcantara River, these dramatic basalt canyons were shaped by ancient lava flows rapidly cooled by water—creating striking vertical rock formations.
The area offers scenic walking paths, river trekking experiences, and cool natural pools—ideal for summer excursions.
