Terms & Conditions: Tailor-Made Journeys and Majolica Sicily Tours Collection 2025-26
These Terms & Conditions apply to all journeys organized by Majolica Travel S.r.l.s. under the Tailor-Made and Majolica Sicily Tours Collection 2025-26, for departures between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2026, as well as for future bookings until updated.
INCLUDED IN JOURNEYS
All accommodations (if requested at the moment of the booking), meals, English-speaking guides, private sightseeing as listed in the itineraries, and services included in the contract signed at the time of booking confirmation. This includes park and entrance fees, arrival and departure transfers, coffee/tea/soft drinks/water at included meals, complimentary internet access (where available at land accommodations; service levels are not guaranteed), two (2) pieces of baggage per person in the vehicles, and hotel taxes.
NOT INCLUDED IN JOURNEYS
Unless otherwise noted, the following are not included: international and internal airfare, passport or visa fees, reciprocity and other border fees, airport departure taxes, excess baggage charges, gratuities, meals not specified in the itinerary, room service, beverages other than those listed above, meals for guides (if guests invite them to dine), sightseeing not listed in the itinerary, and personal expenses such as laundry, communication charges, and optional activities (subject to availability).
HOTEL CHECK-IN
Most hotels allow check-in during mid-afternoon. Should you require guaranteed immediate check-in upon arrival, an additional room night is necessary. Early check-in requests are subject to hotel availability and are at the hotel’s sole discretion.
ROOM UPGRADES/SPECIAL REQUESTS
Room upgrades may be available upon request for an additional cost. Please inform Majolica of any special requests, such as adjacent or connecting rooms, specific bedding arrangements, smoking preferences, or dietary needs at the time of booking. While Majolica will make reasonable efforts to fulfill these requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
ITINERARIES
Majolica reserves the right to modify itineraries, including arranged sightseeing, featured experts, and accommodations, due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its control. Efforts will be made to operate itineraries as planned; however, changes may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. In case of any unexpected changes, your guide will propose alternative arrangements.
AIR TRANSPORTATION
International airfare (to and from the starting and ending points) is not included in program pricing. Some journeys require internal flights, which are typically not included and must be purchased from Majolica separately. All air quotes are subject to change until final payment is received. Air reservations cannot be confirmed without a passport copy.
Majolica does not own, manage, or operate any airline. Your airline ticket constitutes a contract between you and the airline. Majolica assumes no responsibility for seat assignments, schedule changes, cancellations, or other airline-related matters.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
For services that include ground transport, Majolica will arrange a specific pick-up time to ensure a smooth experience. Guests are encouraged to inform Majolica of any time preferences no later than the day before the service begins. The driver will arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Delays caused by the guest may result in additional charges (€70 per extra hour). Airport transfer services include a one-hour grace period, after which additional waiting charges apply (€80 per extra hour).
BAGGAGE
Majolica includes porterage for two (2) pieces of baggage per person. For journeys involving internal or charter flights, luggage allowances may be more restricted, and additional fees may apply. Majolica provides specific details in pre-travel documentation. All baggage is at the owner’s risk throughout the journey, and Majolica is not liable for any loss or damage.
CHILD POLICY
There is no minimum age for participation unless stated otherwise in the itinerary. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents or guardians traveling alone with children are advised to carry proof of relationship and travel authorization documents. Majolica is not responsible if entry to a country is denied due to improper documentation.
ACTIVE ELEMENTS & CONDUCT
Certain journeys may include active elements that require a minimum level of fitness. Guests must inform Majolica of any disabilities or medical conditions that may affect their participation. Majolica reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any guest whose condition negatively impacts the experience for other guests. Guests may be required to provide a doctor’s certificate before travel.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS
It is the guest’s responsibility to obtain the necessary travel documents, including valid passports and visas. Passports must be valid for six (6) months beyond the trip's conclusion and contain enough blank visa pages. Failure to have the proper documentation may result in denied entry without a refund. Majolica assumes no liability for such issues.
RESERVATION AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE
A deposit of 30% of the total program cost is required at the time of booking. The final payment is due 60 days before departure. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. Additional deposits may be required for certain accommodations, exclusive bookings, or itineraries during peak seasons.
PRICES AND ARRANGEMENTS
Journey prices are quoted per person, based on double occupancy unless otherwise indicated. Any changes to the itinerary, including the number of travelers or travel dates, may result in a revised proposal.
CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellations must be submitted in writing and are subject to the following fees:
- 60+ days before departure: No penalty (unless otherwise noted for certain accommodations).
- 59-31 days before departure: 30% of the program price.
- 30-16 days before departure: 50% of the program price.
- 15 days or less before departure: 100% of the program price.
FORCE MAJEURE
Majolica is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control (force majeure), including, but not limited to, war, civil unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, or transportation disruptions. In such cases, Majolica may offer alternative arrangements or a travel credit.
PHOTOGRAPHY DURING TRAVEL
Majolica reserves the right to photograph or record guests during the journey for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please inform Majolica in writing within five (5) days after the conclusion of your trip.
LIMITS ON MAJOLICA’S RESPONSIBILITY
Majolica acts solely as an agent for independent suppliers and assumes no liability for their actions, negligence, or service failures. Guests participate in activities at their own risk and assume responsibility for any injuries or losses.
